2012 Audi A6 Preview

The Audi A6 sticks to a traditional look, but has some changes to distinguish it from its predecessors and other Audi models. Known for reliability, it is expected to continue the trend while offering good fuel efficiency and affordability compared to other cars in its class.
Exterior Features

The A6 is to be built using Audi’s modular-longitudinal platform. This will allow the car to have a more balanced look rather than the front-heavy appearance of the prior model years. The front end will end up looking much like the company’s Sportback concept. LED light strips are almost certain to be present, along with a slightly downsized, but more efficient, powertrain. The construction of the A6’s body will be mostly steel.

The third generation of the Audi A6, dating back to 2005, features the most attractive package of style, interior appointments, and driving dynamics of the line’s history. Its features have had only minor changes this generation, with an improved interface and navigation system being among the highlights.

The Audi A6 has an unexpectedly-low price considering its record of high reliability. Its overall quality compares with cars that cost thousands more. Bought used, the A6 is a great value that offers drivers a chance to own a luxury sedan at a price far below what would be expected for other car makes. A 2005 Audi A6 in good condition, for example, can be owned for around $16,000.
Safety Features

The Audi A6 is well-appointed with safety features. Airbags abound; there are depowered airbags, head airbags, and passenger airbags. Four-wheel antilock brakes are also standard, as is traction control and stability control. It seems that the only thing that isn’t included is a child safety seat.
