History
The Audi A3 has been produced since 1996. The first generation of Audi A3s lasted until 2006. The second generation of the Audi A3 launched in 2003 and featured a redesign by Walter de’Silva. Until the Audi A3’s North American launch in 2005, it was primarily a European car. The Audi A3 ranks well on performance scales due to its quick acceleration and taut handling. The 2012 Audi A3 will see some tweaks to its body style. The 2012 version will feature tauter surfacing. The new version will also have similar styling to the A4, including “eagle-beak” tail lamps and similar body side sculpting.
